Director of Sales
The role of the
Director of Sales is to coach and lead the sales teams to success, which is defined by the Executive Leadership Team through a combination of goals, metrics and objectives. The Director of Sales is responsible for ensuring all Sales Team Leaders and Sales Team Members on their teams are performing to the best of their abilities, by ensuring they have the tools, training, and coaching required to perform in their assigned role. The Director of Sales will operate in collaboration with the Sales Team Leaders in sharing best practices across all regions as necessary. The Director of Sales is also responsible for the coaching, mentoring, and empowering of the Sales Team Leaders to allow for them to do the same with their Sales Specialists.

Responsibilities
- Aid in the development of and carry out procedures as directed by the Executive Team
- Responsible for decision making, delegation, and ensuring SOP compliance from sales teams
- Provide continuous support to Sales Team Leaders
- Plan out 90 days in advance 1:1 meetings with each Sales Team Leader
- Ensure all your teams are achieving established sales metrics
- Shadow and coach Sales Team Leads and Sales Specialists as needed
- Identify areas for improvement with each team and work with the Sales Team Leader to implement an improvement strategy
- Personalize coaching methods to improve the performance of each Sales Team Leader
- Manage Sales Team Leaders’ schedules, PTO, and any time off requests
- Conduct Bi-annual reviews of each Sales Team Leader that reports to you

- Lead by example and empower your Sales Team Leaders
- Foster a positive, constructive, and encouraging work environment
- When providing feedback to your teams, frame it in a positive, constructive manner to avoid demoralization
- Meet with each Sales Team Leader weekly build and improve upon your professional relationship
- Be cognizant of how your leadership style is positively or negatively affecting your team and make any necessary adjustments
- Ensure the key performance indicators are accurate and updated at all times
- Openly encourage your teams to improve regularly
- Address poor performance with Sales Team Leaders immediately and professionally
- Regularly meet with each Sales Team Lead to review the performance and make suggestions as necessary
- Foster a friendly and competitive atmosphere
- Follow the company rules and guidelines
- Show up everyday, 100% engaged with your team
- Frequently work with and utilize the guidance of the the Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, and Yearly Reports
- Work with all teams and leaders to increase profits and ROI in all regions
- Work closely with any and all regions under 300% ROI and develop plans, processes, methods to increase the return on investment
- Make pricing adjustments as needed to ensure that profits per order are within company guidelines (At least $150 per rental)
- Track advertising spend trends to reduce costs including, but not limited to, monitoring bid adjustments and click through rates
- Closely monitor click to lead percentages for each region to make sure they are at healthy levels (25% or higher in most cases)
- Watch closing percentages in each region and make sure they are at healthy levels (At least 30% or higher in most cases) and develop actionable plans to increase those percentages when needed
- Participate in hiring process, including interviewing, for Sales Team Leaders and Sales Specialists as requested
- Assist with the growth and development of new territories by working directly with Hauler Liaison Department
- Aid in brainstorming and development processes within our CRM to help our team work together more efficiently
- Help to develop processes within our CRM that allows all teams and departments to work together more efficiently
- Assist with efficient and effective cross-department and cross-team collaboration including customer service, collections, team support, hauler liaisons, billing, and any future departments
- Aid the Sales Department in working cohesively as one contact center, with all Sales Specialists answering calls in all regions
- Aid in development and growth of the Permanent Services Department
- Meet weekly with the Customer Service Department to better understand issues being encountered and develop coaching methods for sales that will help correct these issues
- Meet weekly with Sales Coach to help develop strategies for consistent Sales Specialists’ improvement
- Develop and keep track of incentives for Sales Team Leaders and Sales Specialists
- Meet weekly with the Marketing Department to help in developing a sales and marketing plan
